Located opposite the Parc de la Tete d’Or (Golden Head Park), the Musee d’Art Contemporain is one of the 4 most important sites of the famous Biennales d’Art Contemporain (Biennial Contemporary Art Festival of Lyon).
The Musee d’Art Contemporain de Lyon, commonly called ‘MAC’, also offers a wide variety of temporary exhibitions of modern art. The interior architecture of the museum changes between each project in order to present a different circuit through the new exhibitions. The museum closes for 6 weeks between each exhibition for the interior reorganization process.
